
Electrical Designer

Position Description
As an Electrical Designer you will integrate document production with a detailed understanding of systems and system components. You will be exposed to basic branch circuiting design and calculation, including service feeders, main electrical distribution systems, lighting systems and controls, energy codes, and specifications, building upon your understating of codes and Revit system design and production.
Position Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $ 66,000
to $ 85,000
annually.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Electrical Engineering
5 - 10 years of job-related experience including power, power distribution, motors and motor feeders, lighting, lighting control and code required life safety design compliance
Basic knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CAD, Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office
Analytical problem-solving skills
Necessary mathematical skills
Position Responsibilities
Electronically draft plans, sections, and details under the direction of the Project Engineer
Design for various types of construction including, but not limited to residential, commercial, retail and healthcare
Devise one-line diagrams including arc-fault, short circuit, and arc flash applications using computer-based programs
Possess a basic understanding of emergency power systems (generators, UPS systems, battery backed lighting or exit sign systems) and the life safety codes governing their use
Other duties as assigned

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
