Manufacturing Engineer – Equipment Reliability
Location: Grover, NC, US, 28086
Position Type: Professional
Responsibilities
Lead root cause analysis
activities for downtime/quality/rate deviations – identify problem and impact, determine root cause utilizing 5 why/fishbone techniques and implement necessary preventative actions using data to determine where to focus efforts and validate improvements.
Champion approaches of design for reliability and design for maintainability and best practices for installation to ensure equipment can meet performance standards for availability.
Ensure maintenance team is prepared for new equipment by ensuring proper spares, PM strategies, technical documentation, and training is performed prior to deployment.
Develop proactive maintenance strategy to reduce unplanned downtime – including preventative and predictive techniques and autonomous (operator‑driven) maintenance activities.
Create precision job plans for routine, complex, and proactive maintenance activities specifying tasks, tools, resources, parts required to complete, and time estimates.
Determine opportunities for design changes to improve equipment reliability, design/collaborate with engineering to implement using data to measure improvement.
Reduce costs through optimization of maintenance tasks and equipment reliability enhancements.
Provide on‑demand technical support as required.
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
3–5 years of applicable experience.
