Job Summary
The CT technician utilizes all CT resources to perform high‑quality examinations on the full patient population—from neonates to geriatrics—for interpretation by a physician.

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations with precision and accuracy.

Create high‑quality special imaging with minimal supervision.

Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Collaborate with a team‑oriented environment and communicate findings to physicians.

Adhere to age‑specific criteria for imaging protocols.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology and possess one year of radiologic experience.

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Computed Tomography.

Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or an equivalent CPR/AED credential.

Maintain ARRT and state license renewals, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and Point‑of‑Care training.

Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality special imaging with limited supervision.

Familiarity with age‑specific imaging criteria and protocols.

Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs as needed.

Ability to work indoors, from elevated areas, in confined spaces, and from kneeling positions.

Ability to bend, squat, perform repetitive hand and upper‑extremity movements.

Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. unassisted and lift objects from 36 inches to overhead.

Maintain visual acuity (20/40 corrected or better) and hearing acuity with correction.

Maintain tactile, olfactory, and olfactory sensory functions where required.

Qualify physically for respirator use as required.
