As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, the Just walk out hardware team is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with strong experience in hardware design, validation, and product release processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end hardware development, including schematic design, PCB layout support, testing, and ensuring compliance with EMC/EMI and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive electrical architecture, system integration, and technical strategy for assigned projects.
Create schematics, support PCB layout, and perform design reviews.
Conduct hardware bring‑up, debugging, and support for manufacturing, assembly, deployment, or operational readiness at scale.
Lead product validation and release activities, including test plan development and execution.
Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI compliance and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing).
Support prototype builds, design verification testing (DVT), and production validation (PVT).
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and release artifacts.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
4+ years of experience in electrical design, including system‑level architecture and integration.
3+ years experience with analog/digital circuit design and embedded systems.
Knowledge of PCB stack‑up and material selection for optimal signal integrity and EMC performance.
Proficiency with industry‑standard design, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, or similar).
Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
Understanding of EMC/EMI design techniques and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers.
Experience managing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
Experience in product lifecycle management and release processes.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position is 117,300.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually in Seattle, WA. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
