Full Time Nights - (72 hours bi-weekly)
7:00pm - 7:30am
Every 3rd weekend rotation

The 6200 Medical-Surgical Unit at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital is a dynamic 38-bed unit specializing in
urology care . Patients admitted to this unit often face urological conditions, such as infections and other complications, but our team also treats a wide range of medical patients with complex needs, including diabetes management, and more. The 6200 unit offers a unique environment for both new graduates and seasoned nurses to expand their clinical expertise, focusing on skill development, time management, and the care of diverse patient populations. Nurses on this unit bring advanced technical knowledge in the field of urology, supported by an in-depth understanding of related
pathophysiology
and the ability to interpret complex lab results. Committed to fostering a positive learning environment, the 6200 unit is
rooted in professional growth and continuous improvement , proudly affiliated with leading organizations like the ANCC, ANA, American Society of Urology, and the American Society of Nephrology. Job Requirements
Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
Registered Nurse
Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
Preferred membership in related professional organization
RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience
Preferred certification in specialty
Job Responsibilities
Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
