Job Description
Elementary Summer Programming - Paraprofessional
Paraprofessionals will work with rising first through fifth graders. Students will be engaged in a variety of daily directed and independent literacy activities, math instruction, and direct instruction in ESL. Duties will include: working with small groups of students/one-on-one, under the direction of the teacher; monitoring students’ safety; collaborating with teachers to establish/support shared expectations for students.
The program will be held from July 6 to August 6, 2026. Program times are Mondays - Thursdays from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm for a total of 20 days. In addition to the instructional time, paraprofessionals will act as bus monitors during arrival and dismissal from elementary sites.
Sites: Whittemore Elementary School; Plympton Elementary School. Salary: $2,310 = 110 hours x $21/hr
