Overview
Cloud Infrastructure Architect (AWS / Azure Hybrid Environment) — We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, build, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
This role will play a critical part in shaping enterprise architecture strategy, supporting modernization initiatives, and ensuring reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect end-to-end cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS and/or Azure
Develop architecture blueprints covering networking, compute, storage, security, and identity management
Implement and standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Support hybrid environments, integrating on-prem systems with cloud platforms
Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
Implement monitoring, automation, and backup/recovery strategies
Support containerized and serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including support for AI/ML workloads
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
Provide technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge transfer
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and architecture
5+ years of experience designing and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
Strong background in Windows and/or Linux systems administration
Experience with cloud networking, IAM, security, and compliance best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or Kubernetes
Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
Background in enterprise or government environments
Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
