Position Description
The Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) is a globally recognized institution dedicated to leading research, education, and clinical innovation in oral and systemic health. This full‑time faculty position supports the mission of fostering diverse leaders in education, research, patient care, and service. The role includes interdisciplinary collaboration with top institutions across the Boston area.
Responsibilities
Serve as the oral radiology discipline head, overseeing administrative functions across departments.
Support student assessment to meet competency milestones and provide oversight for program accreditation requirements.
Lead clinical radiology services at HSDM, including faculty practice and the Cone Beam CT imaging service.
Supervise dental students during radiology rotations and serve as course director.
Engage in scholarly activities, research, and mentoring of students and residents in research projects.
Collaborate on multidisciplinary research initiatives with the Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Directly participate in clinical practice intra‑ or extramurally, dependent on interest and availability.
Basic Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree or equivalent; completion of a postgraduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Demonstrated evidence of scholarly activity and advancement in the field of oral and maxillofacial radiology.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in a leadership role within a clinical or academic setting.
Record of research accomplishments.
Masters and/or Doctoral degree in a field pertinent to Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Experience with or a strong interest in applying artificial intelligence in imaging technologies, including development or enhancement of AI‑driven diagnostic tools.
