School Psychologist- Early Intervention (Full-Time)

Salary

$73,986 - level I (Entry salary level for newly certified psychologists)

$74,871 - level II (Master's degree + 45 Credits + 3 Years' Experience)

200 work days per year: 180 instructional days, 5 in-service days, 5 days prior to beginning of school year, and 10 days after the last day of the school year

PTO: 11 sick days, 3 personal days, and 2 emergency days. (pro-rated for duration of the 25/26 SY)

Full Medical-PPO, Dental, Prescription, and Vision Coverage for Employee and Dependents on hire date. ($75.00/ month premium+ deductible)

Required minimum 7.5% contribution to Pennsylvania School Employees Retirement System (PSERS).

Location:
This is a Tri-County Itinerant position with an anticipated majority of Early Intervention services but will also service Special Education School Aged as assigned based out of our Edinboro Office.

Position Summary:
The School Psychologist provides psycho-diagnostic services to children and serves as a consultant to parents, teachers, school administrators, and other professional, as well as related, agencies serving the needs of such children.

Qualifications Required:

Certification as School Psychologist in Pennsylvania.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assist school districts with screening children who may need psychological services

Participate in team evaluations and administer individual psychological tests to children who may require services

Assist school districts with implementing appropriate procedural safeguards for exceptional children

Participate in IEP conferences as appropriate

Provide parents of exceptional children or thought to be exceptional children with counseling services necessary to understand their child's needs, abilities, etc

Develop lines of communication with supervisors and assist them in providing effective programs for exceptional children

Communicate with local non-school agencies regarding the needs of exceptional children

Participate in the development and provision of in-service activities for regular and special educators regarding the needs of exceptional children
