As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Card Technology team, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud‑based solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative technology. Your expertise will influence product design, technical operations, and the adoption of cutting‑edge cloud technologies, making a direct impact on the business.
Job Responsibilities

Represents cloud architecture in technical governance bodies
Provides feedback and proposes improvements to cloud architecture governance practices
Guides evaluation of current cloud technologies and leads assessment of new cloud solutions using established standards and frameworks
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high‑quality production code for cloud environments, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence cloud product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a subject matter expert in cloud architecture and related domains
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision‑makers to consider the use and application of leading‑edge cloud technologies
Ensures cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards
Collaborates with stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in cloud environments
Advanced in one or more programming language(s), cloud applications, and cloud architecture
Advanced knowledge of cloud software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Practical cloud native experience
Ability to evaluate current and emerging cloud technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
Experience with cloud security and compliance best practices
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams
Familiarity with DevOps and automation in cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Expertise in cloud migration strategies and execution
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Understanding of cloud cost optimization, cloud monitoring and performance tuning

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorganChase aligns the firm’s cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams.
