POSITION: Food Services Lunchroom Monitor
Hours
Monday-Friday 10:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
SALARY
$14.60/hour
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Essential Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned
Supervises students during the lunch period.
Cleans lunchroom tables before the first lunch period, between lunch periods, and after lunch.
Assists the custodian in cleaning up spills.
Takes care of mustard and ketchup containers in the lunchroom.
Student Management Skills
Provides reinforcement for positive behavior.
Deals effectively and consistently with inappropriate behavior.
Adheres to school discipline policies.
Is consistent and fair in dealing with students.
Promotes a warm, open, and accepting climate.
Relationship with Supervisors
Takes timely and appropriate action with regard to supervisors’ requests and concerns.
Uses tact and courtesy in relationships with staff and/or administrators.
Supervision
Supervises students as assigned.

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio / percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. The ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
The ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. The ability to perform duties with the awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education Policies.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, and to walk and sit. The employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. including boxes and cafeteria tables. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well‑being, or work output of other people.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
