As a
Senior Lead Architect at JPMorganChase
within the
Consumer & Community Banking Operations Technology
team, you are an integral part of a group that develops high-quality architecture solutions for software applications and platform products. You will be an Architect Lead supporting the Cash and Check Management product in CCB Operations Technology, with a focus on modernization and supporting a critical bank function that impacts the entire firm. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your expertise in multiple architecture domains.
Job responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design and modernization of critical banking operations within CCB Operations Technology
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions
Define and drive target state architecture for critical banking functions
Ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements
Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and architectural standards
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate
Develop and maintain architectural documentation and roadmaps
Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for architecture-related issues
Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver impactful technology initiatives
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the architecture team
Communicate complex technical concepts to business and technology leaders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise‑scale architecture solutions
Strong knowledge of modernization strategies for legacy systems
Expertise in cloud technologies and distributed systems
Experience with banking operations and financial services technology
Ability to lead and influence technical teams
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience with Cash and Check Management systems
Prior experience in architecting solutions for critical bank functions
Certification in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with modernization of mainframe and legacy applications
Demonstrated ability to drive firmwide impact through technology leadership
