Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Part Time
In Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour.

Job Schedule: DayTime Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM.

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

Assist hospital staff with de‑escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

Transport patients to the morgue, as needed

Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters

Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons

Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles

Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out

Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements

Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required

Minimum Requirements

Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.

Be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.

Be willing to work in a hospital morgue environment.

Be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.

Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.

Have at least 5 years of security‑related experience.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
