Maintenance Technician A (III)
Transdev in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced A-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
High level of problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
At least 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
Mechanic’s tool set.
Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
Physical Requirements
Perform related duties as assigned.
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to XX pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
Perform other duties as assigned.
