About Our Family :
We’re a busy, professional family of four, balancing demanding careers with the joys and challenges of raising two energetic daughters (11 & 13). Our household is full of life, with school, sports, and various activities keeping us on our toes. One of us works from home 2-3 days a week and also travels internationally, while the other has a demanding job that requires travel as well. When one of us is home, we’re fully present and enjoying our time together.
We also have two friendly labradoodles who bring a lot of joy to our family. Occasionally, a family member stays with us to lend a helping hand, particularly during busy times.
With all that’s going on, we’re looking for someone to help us stay organized, maintain the flow of our household, and ensure our kids are supported after school. We value open communication, reliability, and a proactive attitude, and we’re excited to find someone who can help us keep everything running smoothly while we focus on our work and family time.
Who We Are/What We're Looking For :
We’re looking for someone who is warm, organized, and proactive to help keep our home running smoothly. As a family, we thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, and we need someone who can keep up with the pace and adapt to shifting needs. You’ll be a key partner in managing our household, supporting the kids after school, and ensuring everything stays in order.
We need a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple responsibilities independently, anticipate what needs to be done, and take initiative without constant supervision. A love for helping others is essential, as you will be directly contributing to reducing the mental load on the family. Whether it’s meal prepping, maintaining organization systems, or stepping in to help with the kids, we want someone who finds satisfaction in keeping things running seamlessly and enjoys being an integral part of the family’s day-to-day life.
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with the fluctuating demands of a busy family and bring a positive, calm energy into our home. Communication is key for us, so we’re looking for someone who is approachable, clear, and organized in their interactions. Flexibility, energy, and a can‑do attitude are vital traits to thrive in this role.

Proactive & Independent : Able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative when needed
Organized & Detail-Oriented : Strong attention to detail, with the ability to stay on top of multiple tasks and schedules

Good Communicator : Open to providing recommendations and handling family needs efficiently
Warm & Friendly : Able to maintain a professional yet friendly relationship with the family while being self-sufficient
Experienced : Previous experience in household management, meal prep, and childcare is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities :
Household Management & Organization :
Maintain organization of closets, pantry, storage, and toys
Tidy rooms daily, keeping the home prepped for bi-weekly cleaning service
Manage and update household calendars, coordinate with multiple apps (GameChanger, TeamSnap, school newsletters), and upload information into the Skylight family calendar
Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
Prepare for guest stays (e.g., setting up bathrooms, stocking essentials)
Help with holiday decoration and post-event cleanup
Coordinate donation drop-offs and pickups
Oversee household vendors and service providers (handymen, cleaners, landscapers)
Inventory Management & Errands :
Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
Create and manage running household supply lists
Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping/pick-up/wrap
Handle deliveries – bring mail in, develop a system for how mail gets sorted, open packages, put in a location where the family can see them, and get cardboard out to the garage
Meal Planning & Preparation :
Prepare simple meals 3-4 times a week (e.g., spaghetti, tacos, slow-cooker meals)
Batch cooking for easy reheating (family plans meals; house manager executes)
Prep dry snacks for the kids
Clean and manage kitchen tidiness after meal prep
Laundry & Linen Care :
Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels)
Coordinate school uniforms, practice gear, and seasonal clothing swaps
