
Civil Engineer - Land Development

We are seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to support residential and commercial land development projects in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. This is an onsite role (Monday–Friday) with occasional site visits. This position is ideal for a motivated engineer with site civil experience looking to grow their career with strong mentorship and a clear path to PE licensure.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hydrology/hydraulic calculations (e.g., HydroCAD or similar)
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and project teams
Prepare permit applications and coordinate with local agencies
Communicate with clients and manage multiple project deadlines
Produce drawings, specs, cost estimates, and project documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
1–5+ years of land development/site civil experience (EITs encouraged)
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed
Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred:
Knowledge of local permitting/regulations (MD, DC, Northern VA)
EIT certification or progress toward PE
