Overview
Join our team as a night shift, PRN, Neuro Patient Care Technician in Tulsa, OK.
Responsibilities
Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).
Preferred Job Requirements
Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
