Correctional Officer

Responsibilities
Provide security, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments and during all other phases of activity in a correctional facility.
Employ weapons or force when necessary to maintain discipline and order.
Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
Work any shift, assigned to various posts including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Have a high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
Will be paid training and will become a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment (cost paid).
Have a valid driver's license.
Can complete any required training.
Are available to work any hours, any shift.
Are at least 21 years of age.
