Responsibilities
Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
Work any shift; may be assigned to armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
Employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order as needed.
Provide direct supervision of inmates/residents during meals, recreation, work assignments and other activities in a correctional facility.
CoreCivic recognizes military service to qualify for positions requiring criminal justice experience.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to complete required training.
Available to work any hours, any shift.
At least 18 years of age.
We train you: paid training and where applicable become a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment (we pay the cost).
