Production Supervisor – CNC/Machining
We are searching for an experienced Production Supervisor (1st Shift: 6:00am-3:00pm, plus rotating Saturdays as needed) to oversee and manage the equipment, employees and processes in our CNC/Machining/Fabrication department. The Production Supervisor coordinates and provides direct supervision for all employees within the assigned department(s) to ensure all work activities are completed in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and lead teams using an organized approach to encourage employees to accept full responsibility for their actions. Oversee and assign job duties to team members daily.
Be a leader in understanding the company handbook/policies and effectively administering their content.
Coordinate and ensure proper training of employees to perform their job functions safely and effectively.
Provide direction of production departments to ensure employees are producing quality products that meet or exceed customer requirements and are shipped in a timely manner.
Participate in shift change activities at the start and end of the shift to ensure a smooth transfer of work activities between the shifts.
Interview potential employees and work with human resources to ensure proper hiring practices are being followed.
Work with scheduling and assignment of jobs within the CNC and other machining departments.
Responsible for onboarding, training, monitoring performance, and promoting learning of all team members.
Provide employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions per company policy.
Exercise good judgement, serve as a positive model for the team members and promote a positive work environment free from harassment.
Work with plant leadership and human resources to resolve issues with team members.
Participate in leadership training and meetings.
Optimize the use of tooling, facilities, processes, and methods to create a safe and efficient work environment.
Evaluate potential process improvements and participate in the implementation of those improvements.
Responsible for overall quality of products to meet our customers’ requirements.
Participation in all manufacturing goals as defined by the company.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading and supervising 10+ employees in machining roles.
CAD/CAM experience
Working knowledge of Fanuc Controls / G & M codes
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes and equipment, including 5S, lean manufacturing and tool inventory management.
Knowledge of multiple types of machine processes – CNC lathes and mills required (other manual machines such as broaches, grinders, drills, etc. preferred).
Computer literate with demonstrated working experience/knowledge in an ERP environment (Epicor is a plus), and proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
Demonstrated capability to solve production problems and analyze reports to take corrective action to ensure integrity of the data.
Demonstrated organizational, communication and decision‑making skills with the ability to work with and motivate team members with varying levels of skill and ability and address issues with team members.
Must be able read and write clearly and concisely in English and understand/follow written work instructions, product routings, simple blueprints, and drawings, as well as company policies and procedures.
Highly motivated, resourceful, self‑directed, and attentive to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree/certificate a plus.
