Registered Veterinary Technician
Friendtown Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets. This is a full‑time position with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday‑Saturday, including evenings and weekend rotations. On‑call compensation of $25 to $75 per shift is available if called in.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
Collaborate with the team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Benefits and Compensation
Compensation: $21‑$23 per hour, for each hour worked *
Bonus package: $2,000
CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set
3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio
Proficiency in: Surgery and anesthesia knowledge; Dentistry; Radiographs, technique and positioning; Venipuncture and injectable medication administration; Inpatient care
Location
Friendtown Veterinary Clinic is located in the charming community of Tipp City, 12 miles north of Dayton and close to Columbus and Cincinnati. We are a small animal general practice with a fun‑loving team and great longevity. Our clinic is situated on 20 acres, about 5 miles from downtown.
