Position: Sr. Financial Analyst

Work Location: El Paso, TX, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.
What you will be doing
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analytical support to the treasury team and the finance department. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks supporting the shared services center and regional marketing organizations as well as future-state growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of finance and financial analysis concepts, strong analytical and communication skills, will be responsible and detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. This includes producing accurate and timely reporting, finding ways to streamline, improve or automate key processes, strong data gathering and presentation skills, and have comfort exploring the latest treasury technology products.
Responsibilities
Provide required treasury needs in accordance with internal control policies including preparing or reviewing manual electronic fund transfers, foreign exchange trades, forecast daily borrowings/paydowns and interest expense
Retrieve, review and prepare daily cash position report by reconciling prior day bank account activities as well as forecasting future cash position by obtaining information through interactions with other internal departments and foreign business
Validate all banking transactions according to bank deadlines and company policies including but not limited to ACH debits, ACH credits, wires, tax payments, positive pay exceptions, and fraud alerts. Research and resolve any banking exceptions identified
Provide financial analysis and support across a broad range of activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasting and variance analysis using both direct and indirect methods, working capital and liquidity management, covenant monitoring, and other ad hoc financial forecasting and modeling initiatives.
Strong accounting background and understanding of GAAP financial statements
Develop and maintain Excel models and Power BI dashboards; analyze, manipulate, test, and validate large data files; produce frequent financial dashboards and reports
Support treasury operations (month-end financial close, bank account management (including KYC requests), new account setups, intercompany netting, vendor account setup)
Support other functional areas of the treasury team as requested (risk management, debt/collateral management, FX, international banking, investments)
Contribute to Treasury’s risk management framework by supporting hedge policy compliance, exposure measurement, and periodic reporting for FX and interest rate risk; assist with hedge planning, execution support, performance metrics, and continuous improvement of controls and analytics (Excel/Power BI) used to monitor hedge positions and outcomes.
Serve as business liaison for renewal processes for various insurance policies (Property, Cargo, Workers Comp., etc.) and ongoing business needs
Coordinate with other departments such as Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and other areas to ensure proper and timely funding and recording of all Treasury related transactions. Ensure proper follow-up and resolution of issues related to daily cash activity
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as experienced in handling multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical ability within a high transaction volume and fast-paced environment
Assists in modeling financial statement impact of various acquisitions and other capital structures (debt, share repurchase, etc.)
Recommend process improvements to drive efficiencies, including automating current processes
Identify cost-savings opportunities and provide ongoing support for special projects

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business field.
3+ years of finance/treasury or related experience in accounting or banking.
Experience using Oracle or other ERP systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Required: Regular early‑morning availability before 8:00 a.m. to meet critical Treasury, Banking, and Cash deadlines.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced certifications (CTP, CPA, CFA).
Power BI experience.
Data mining skills with commitment to data integrity.
Experience using a treasury management system (TMS).
Experience administering and using commercial banking platforms (i.e., Bank of America and HSBC).
Bilingual Spanish skills.
