Rate: $20 an hour
Location: West Point, PA - 100% onsite
4-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Asset Coordinator to support the tracking, management, and coordination of laboratory instruments and equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate asset data, ensuring compliance, and supporting day-to-day lab operations within a fast-paced research environment.
Maintain and update asset data records to ensure complete and accurate visibility into instrument delivery, installation, and lifecycle status
Partner with Capital Asset Stewards to ensure proper asset tagging and tracking across systems
Coordinate the transfer, relocation, and removal of laboratory equipment across sites
Support compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental standards in all daily activities
Assist in maintaining accurate documentation and reporting related to lab assets and operations
Role is based in a research laboratory setting with a fast-paced workflow and high expectations for timely task completion
Exposure to laboratory hazards, including chemicals, biological materials, potent compounds, and high-temperature environments
Required Skills
Bachelors / associate’s degree within a life science degree OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment
Strong data review and reporting skills
Experience with project coordination or project management
Proficiency in SAP systems and/or Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (25%+ of the time)
Frequent movement within and between lab spaces is required
Regular use of tools, equipment, and controls, including bending, reaching, stretching, and squatting
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Requires visual acuity for both close-range and distance observation, including color and depth perception
Occasional use of standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, etc.)
