Job Summary
The Electro Mechanic I will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and machinery. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on equipment
Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals to diagnose and solve equipment problems
Replace or repair defective parts using hand and power tools
Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Understand and follow plant safety rules including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safe machine operation
Work on motors, contactors, and relays using a multimeter to verify component functionality
Operate advanced shop equipment such as band saws, mills, and lathes
Maintain chillers, process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and glue pumps
Analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues
Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and PLC systems
Use required personal protective equipment
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
You have industrial manufacturing experience or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment
Industry experience with blown film, sheet extrusion, flexographic printing, lamination, slitting, or related ancillary equipment is preferred
You have PLC troubleshooting experience and knowledge of industrial motor controls
You can operate a forklift
You are comfortable with lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds
You can work independently while managing multiple tasks during off-shift hours
You are comfortable with rotating schedules, overtime, and weekend work
