Part time PE teacher PS-8

Part-Time PE Teacher, pre-school through 8th grade at St. Bernadette Parish School. I nstruct students in motor skills, sportsmanship, and wellness while fostering physical development within a faith-based environment . The ideal candidate will foster a love of physical fitness while supporting the spiritual and academic mission of Catholic education.

Reports to the Principal.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons that meet or exceed state and diocesan standards for all grade levels.

Safety & Management: Establish a safe, organized, and positive learning environment, and monitor students during activities to prevent injury and manage behavior effectively.

Catholic Formation: Model Christ-centered behavior, sportsmanship, and integrity, promoting wellness as part of a healthy, Catholic life.

Assessment & Reporting: Regularly assess student performance, maintain accurate attendance and progress records, and communicate with parents and administration as needed.

Facility & Equipment Care: Maintain PE equipment, inventory, and storage in a safe, orderly condition.

Collaboration & Events: Work with staff to support school-wide events, such as Field Day, CYO sports programs, and wellness initiatives.

Possible supervision of an elective class as determined by student interest.

Qualifications
Education: Certification or instructional experience in Physical Education or related field.

Experience: Previous experience teaching PE to elementary or middle school students.

A willingness to support and model the Catholic mission and values of St. Bernadette Parish School.

Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Completion of required fingerprinting and Virtus training.

Physical Demands
Ability to actively instruct, demonstrate skills, and supervise students in both indoor and outdoor settings, which may include carrying and moving equipment, bending, stooping, and running.

Compensation
$22,667-$34,510 Usually not benefits-eligible. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
