Your role and responsibilities
The Industry or Domain BPO Services Sales Leader is a high-impact individual focused on selling large, complex managed services deals to senior client leadership. This role involves combining expertise in BPO operations, process/functional strategy, partner operations, and relevant functional technology to drive client financial and operational outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development: Lead the entire sales cycle for large, multi-service managed deals, including qualification, solutioning, negotiation, and closure. This typically involves managing a significant annual quota.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with C‑suite executives by understanding their growth imperatives and positioning IBM as a strategic partner. The ability to connect with IBM client target base in the candidate’s stronger sectors is paramount.
Solution Architecture and Strategy: Develop integrated growth solutions that combine managed services with data & AI, functional platforms. Strategize, design, and implement new operating models for client marketing organizations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across IBM offering teams, industry teams, solutioning & delivery to ensure comprehensive and holistic solutions are brought to the client.
Operational Excellence and Thought Leadership: Leverage deep expertise in operations, BPO processes, and agile processes to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement within client operations.
Team Leadership: Operate with autonomy and influence, leading deal teams and potentially managing large operational teams to ensure high performance and successful delivery of services within scope and budget.

Required technical and professional expertise
Significant experience (10+ years relevant BPO) in sales pursuit and deal shaping, with a proven track record in selling complex managed services or BPO solutions.
Domain Expertise: Deep subject matter knowledge in integrated marketing operations, including digital channels (web, mobile, social, email) and leading marketing platforms.
Consulting Skills: Strong management consulting and strategic thinking abilities, including the capacity to architect innovative solutions and manage organizational change.
Leadership: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in managing cross-functional and often global teams.
Business Acumen: Strong financial acumen, an understanding of budgeting and forecasting, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-performing solutions.
