Survey Research Analyst

About the Role:
We are seeking a hardworking, goal‑oriented, highly motivated Research Analyst for our technology research team. The selected candidate will support the execution of primary market research, including both custom and syndicated projects, with a primary focus on survey operations, data quality, and research deliverables. This individual‑contributor role works closely with the sales team, project managers, internal SME, and external vendors to ensure research is designed and executed according to best practices and produces high‑quality data.

The Team:
The Technology Research team focuses on delivering insights in technology‑focused research domains such as AI, data centers, cloud computing, and IoT.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Core responsibilities include executing end‑to‑end survey research projects, supporting both custom and syndicated research programs, collaborating with sales and project managers, serving as a client‑facing research partner, managing sample providers, monitoring fieldwork, producing and quality‑checking structured data outputs, and creating PowerPoint decks, charts, and other deliverables.

Execute end‑to‑end survey research projects, including questionnaire design, programming, fielding, data validation, and deliverable production.

Support both custom research projects and syndicated research programs.

Collaborate with sales and project managers to understand client goals, and with SME to design research studies that meet those objectives.

Serve as a client‑facing research partner, leading calls related to methodology, survey design, and progress.

Manage sample providers to ensure adherence to timelines, sampling plan, and quality standards.

Monitor fieldwork and review data at key milestones (soft launch, midpoint, final) and recommend adjustments as needed.

Produce and quality‑check crosstabs and structured data outputs.

Creation of PowerPoint decks, charts, and other research deliverables.

Survey & Research Operations:

Apply industry‑standard research methodologies and data quality best practices.

Ensure survey instruments are tested thoroughly prior to launch and monitored throughout fielding.

Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.

Support operational consistency across projects while adapting to client‑specific requirements.

Cross‑Team Support:

Work closely with internal SME on research design, and to support analysis and presentation of research findings.

Provide operational and data inputs that enable SME‑led insights and storytelling.

Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors across multiple concurrent projects.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $83,313 to $103,226. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated with very high survey/data literacy and attention to detail, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. Strong communication skills are also essential – the role involves working collaboratively with the internal teams to provide high quality, differentiated data. This role is client‑facing and research topics are primarily technology‑focused, including areas such as AI, data centers, cloud computing, and IoT.

Basic Required Qualifications:

BA in a related field (e.g., statistics, marketing, market research, social science).

3–5 years of experience in primary market research, survey research, consulting, or client‑facing research roles.

Strong understanding of survey design, research methodology, sampling, fielding, and data quality assurance practices.

Experience managing multiple research projects simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment.

Experience working with external vendors, including sample providers.

Strong Excel skills and experience producing structured survey outputs (e.g., crosstabs).

Confident, professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technical Interests & Growth Areas:

Experience using AI‑powered tools to improve research efficiency, analysis, and content development.

Demonstrated interest in applying AI as a practical tool within research operations and workflows.

Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, methods, and technologies as the research landscape evolves.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to qualitative research methods, such as in‑depth interviews or EDBs.

Experience supporting technology‑focused research domains (e.g., AI, data centers, cloud, IoT).

Familiarity with survey platforms or analytics/visualization tools.

Python or “vibe coding” experience, particularly when used alongside AI tools or for process automation.

Knowledge of the technology industry is preferred, but not a must‑have. More important is a passion for data, attention to detail, and a client focus.
