Job Summary
Leidos Kinetic Effects Business Area, Hypersonics Division is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering Branch Manager for its Hypersonics Engineering and Integration Department. The position will manage a team of engineers that provide requirements definition, analysis, design, assembly, and test of flight grade electrical and avionic products. The position will be approximately 70% technical and 30% managerial.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the Electrical Engineering Branch Manager overseeing and leading a team of engineers in the electrical design of hardware and software for weapon system development.

Perform analog/digital circuit design, parts design, materials evaluation, requirements specification and source selection of missile components.

Work with software running on a real-time operating system and support design for hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) equipment.

Oversee documentation of electrical designs, prepare RFPs for component manufacturing, and assist in supplier surveillance during installation and inspection.

Review technical drawings and update/correct as needed.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school.

12 years of relevant experience.

Experience in requirements definition, design, development and test of electrical systems relative to weapon systems.

Missile Systems experience in at least one of the following areas: digital and analog circuit design, inertial instruments, GPS, telemetry, flight termination, electronics integration, test and troubleshooting.

Experience managing a team.

Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Must have Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and demonstrated skill in project or people management, proposal writing or business development, project estimating, understanding of Systems Engineering processes, test planning, CONOP development for assembly, integration and testing of hardware.

Experience managing design teams, developing integrated master schedules, and planning required to execute small to large sized programs.

Software skills in C, MATLAB, Simulink.

Knowledge of Real-time Operating System.

Hardware-in-the-Loop experience.

Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of systems.

Experience supporting business development through marketing and generating proposals.

Technical leadership of weapon system and architecture development tasks.
