Electrical Engineering Intern
to join our team in
Batavia, OH . The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the electrical design and manufacturing process for injection molding machinery. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to how complex industrial machines are designed, built, and manufactured, with a strong focus on cross‑functional communication between engineering, manufacturing, and shop personnel. Working closely with a mentor, the intern will gain practical experience supporting active machine orders and contributing to real‑world engineering deliverables.
Work You’ll Do
Support electrical engineering activities related to the design and build of injection molding machinery
Assist with reviewing machine orders to learn machine configurations, options, and electrical requirements
Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components
Edit and update machine wiring diagrams under the guidance of an engineering mentor
Support communication and coordination between Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing teams
Learn and use CAD software to update electrical wiring diagrams based on shop redlines
Attend daily Gemba shop meetings to observe manufacturing operations and provide feedback to engineering
Develop an understanding of manufacturing workflows, documentation accuracy, and engineering change processes
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (second- or third‑year students preferred)
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams
General understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Interest in manufacturing, industrial machinery, and hands‑on engineering applications
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
Detail‑oriented with the ability to follow technical documentation and instructions
