Job Summary
The
FallManufacturing Engineer Co-op
will assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department with production activities. Primary work involves using SolidWorks CAD software to design tools and fixtures for manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Student enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in Engineering who has completed their freshman year of college.
Experience: Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software.
Must be willing to work 3 or more rotating semesters.
Other Functions
Tooling and production method development
Material storage analysis and improvement
Collection and analysis of labor / machinery productivity and efficiency data
Machine tool set up reduction
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting
Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting processes / machinery.
