Middle School Assistant Principal 2026-2027

The Middle School Assistant Principal supports the principal in providing instructional leadership, fostering a positive school climate, and managing daily school operations. This role ensures student success by implementing effective disciplinary practices, supporting teachers, and engaging with students, families, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership:

Assist in curriculum development and instructional strategies to enhance student achievement.

Support teachers through professional development, coaching, and classroom observations.

Analyze student performance data to improve academic outcomes.

Promote equity and inclusion in instructional practices.

Implement and enforce the school’s student behavior policies.

Conduct student discipline hearings and collaborate with staff on interventions.

Develop and oversee programs that support student well‑being, including social‑emotional learning and conflict resolution.

Foster a positive school culture that promotes student engagement.

Staff Supervision & Development:

Support teacher evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Coordinate teacher schedules, classroom assignments, and extracurricular activities.

Lead and facilitate faculty meetings and professional learning communities.

Operations & Safety:

Assist in developing and enforcing safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Oversee school-wide schedules, including testing coordination and special events.

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal education policies.

Community & Family Engagement:

Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians.

Support parent‑teacher organizations and community outreach programs.

Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to provide student support services.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.

Strong background in Mathematics.

Experience in teaching and/or school administration (5 years).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
