We are seeking a
Safety Manager
to support a portfolio of solar construction projects (typically under 50 MW). This role will serve as a
primary safety contact
for the company, combining field presence with remote oversight.
The ideal candidate is experienced in construction safety, strong in reporting and compliance, and comfortable working both independently and alongside field teams. This position requires
approximately 50% travel , with the remaining time spent remotely managing safety reporting and program support.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a
primary safety contact
for projects and internal teams
Conduct
site visits, audits, and safety inspections
to ensure compliance
Lead
incident investigations
and complete detailed reports
Manage and maintain
safety reporting , including tracking trends and corrective actions
Prepare
regular safety reports
for leadership
Partner with field teams to support
safe work planning and execution
Provide
training and guidance
to site personnel and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with
OSHA and company safety standards
Support development and improvement of
safety programs and procedures
Qualifications
5+ years of
construction safety experience
(solar preferred)
Strong knowledge of
OSHA regulations
Experience with
incident investigations and reporting
Ability to manage
safety documentation and data
Willingness to
travel up to 50%
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work both
remotely and in the field
Preferred
OSHA 30-hour certification
CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar certifications
Experience supporting
multiple job sites simultaneously
