
HSE Advisor

Job Purpose
The HSE&S Advisor reports to the HSE&S Manager, providing recordkeeping and administrative support. The role helps to ensure that all regulatory and internally-required HSE&S documentation is maintained in an audit-ready state, and that good relationships with HSE&S-critical suppliers are maintained. The role interacts with employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors. The HSE&S Advisor may also perform other tasks assigned through the Organizational Structure.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain physical and digital records, enter data accurately, and generate reports to support departmental budgets and HSE&S KPIs.
Serve as a point of contact between internal departments and with external vendors.
Create, issue, track, and deactivate employee security badges.
Enter Behavior Based Safety (BBS) Observations and new chemical Safety Data Sheets into their respective management systems.
Serve as the evacuation and muster station coordinator for the site administration building.
Scan and upload inspections, permits, and other documents to support HSE&S compliance.
Maintain HSE supply closet for inventory and organization.
Create, monitor, and adjust requisitions and purchase orders under direction of HSE&S Manager.
Facilitate payments and troubleshoot invoicing issues to ensure vendor satisfaction.
Other administrative duties as needed in support of HSE&S department. May support other department managers as needed.
Job Requirements
High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred or 1-4 years of experience providing administrative and/or HSE&S support. Will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience in the coating, paint, and/or chemical industry
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
High proficiency in Microsoft office applications
Basic SAP skills are desirable but not required
Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to achieve objectives
