Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment
Demonstrated experience with Ruby-on-Rails framework
Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
Demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications with JavaScript
Demonstrated experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability (e.g. Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook)
Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
Demonstrated experience with compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g. Hobbit, Ganglia)
Demonstrated experience with CLOUDBASE internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing CLOUDBASE in many configurations (>200 node clusters)
Demonstrated experience with cluster performance management (e.g. Nagios)
Demonstrated experience with COPILOT, PRESSUREWAVE, and/or the R6 Cloud and/or the installation, configuration, and tuning of the same
Demonstrated experience with linguistics (grammar, morphology, concepts)and/or with Rosette Base Linguistics software for Chinese and/or Arabic
Demonstrated experience with LDAP protocol configuration and management
Demonstrated experience developing Restful services
Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics that discover and exploit social networks
Demonstrated experience documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, data element dictionaries, software application program interfaces and other technical specifications
Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics within a heterogeneous schema environment
Required Qualifications
TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph
Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig
Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with at least two (2) of the following languages: Java, C, and/or C++
Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment
Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, CloudBase/Accumulo, and/or Big Table
Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design for one (1) or more object-oriented systems
Demonstrated experience developing Restful services
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; an associate's degree in computer science or related discipline and two (2) years programming experience or five (5) years programming experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Pay Range: $75.06 - $107.61 an hour
Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
