Job Overview
Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for integration, test, deployment, and troubleshooting of various production-ready mission services deployed in on-premises enclaves and AWS Cloud environments.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and an appropriate security clearance is required (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.

Generate documentation for the full software stack.

Update software for sustainment support.

Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.

Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.

Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.

Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.

Required Qualifications

TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

Five (5) years full‑time Computer Science directly related work that can substitute for a degree and at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.

An industry‑recognized professional certification may substitute as one (1) year of experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience.

Required Technical Skills

Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools.

Experience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate manual processes.

Proficient performing Linux System Administration.

Experience installing, configuring, and sustaining COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a Linux environment.

Foundational knowledge of DevOps tooling (e.g., CI/CD, Git).

Experience with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem (NiFi, HDFS, Map/Reduce).

Experience with installing, configuring, and sustaining multiple NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Accumulo.

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, containerd).

Experience with IaC principles and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Puppet).

Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana).

Desired Technical Skills

Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, containerd.

Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).

AWS Cloud experience.
