Our client seeks a DevOps Engineer to manage Salesforce release and deployment processes across multiple environments. The role emphasizes Git-based version control, peer reviews, metadata troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams. The engineer will support reliable delivery cycles, environment alignment, and continuous improvement within a hybrid schedule.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $45.00 to $50.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities
Manage and execute Salesforce deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
Maintain and support Git-based version control, including branching and merging.
Conduct peer reviews of Salesforce metadata changes and pull requests to ensure quality and standards.
Validate Apex tests, code coverage, and deployment readiness.
Troubleshoot deployment failures, metadata conflicts, and environment differences.
Support sandbox refreshes, environment alignment, and data preparation.
Collaborate with developers, admins, QA, and release teams to coordinate and plan deployments.
Document deployment procedures, release steps, and environment configurations.
Ensure release activities follow internal controls and audit requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes and release management practices.
Experience Requirements
Up to 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Salesforce deployment roles.
Practical experience using Git for version control.
Experience performing peer reviews within a development or release workflow.
Ability to diagnose and resolve deployment and metadata issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Experience with Flosum (preferred).
Exposure to code quality tools such as PMD, ESLint, or SonarQube (preferred).
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce metadata such as Apex, LWC, Flows, Custom Objects, and Permission Sets (preferred).
