Job Description
The Certified Nurse Assistant or Emergency Room Technician performs routine duties in caring for hospitalized patients within the limits of training and certification. Services are rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and may include additional duties related to patient care as described herein.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily activities.
Assist in patient positioning, monitoring, and safety.
Follow department standards and procedures in absence of direct directions.
Work effectively under stressful conditions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina or equivalent certification (e.g., Emergency Medical Technician).
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience
At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
Emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
