Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Composite Technician with a minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience to support advanced composite manufacturing and prototyping efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven environment and has deep expertise in both wet layup and prepreg composite processes. Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace or aviation is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Execute composite fabrication processes including wet layup, vacuum bagging, and prepreg layups
Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and laminate schedules
Support prototype development, tooling, and first article builds
Perform trimming, bonding, and finishing operations to tight tolerances
Assist engineering teams in process development and optimization
Maintain quality standards consistent with regulated industry requirements
Document work and ensure traceability where required
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in composite fabrication
Strong experience with both wet layup and prepreg systems
Demonstrated experience in prototyping or low‑rate initial production environments
Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with vacuum bagging techniques and curing processes (oven/autoclave preferred)
High attention to detail and workmanship standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other regulated industries (FAA, ISO, etc.)
Familiarity with structural composite repairs and inspection techniques
Experience working with large or complex composite structures
Knowledge of material systems (epoxies, resins, core materials such as foam/honeycomb)
Experience with tooling fabrication and mold making
Work Environment
Hands‑on manufacturing environment with advanced composite materials and processes
Collaboration with engineering and production teams on cutting‑edge projects
