Hands on upper management
Dietary Aide - Essential Functions:
Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
Maintain a clean dining area & dishes using appropriate procedures, discard leftovers & empty trash.
Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
Assist the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings.
Dietary Aide - Requirements:
Friendly with good communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
Ability to read.
Meet physical demands – stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
Food service experience preferred.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus.
