This role ensures the maintenance of a safe and secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with the mission and values of the medical center.## Education & Experience**Education and Experience Required:**Degree (Bachelor or Associate) in psychology or mental health or High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of direct patient care experience in a mental health facility.**Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:**N/A## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and is well-versed in handling patient care documentation, including charts and medical histories. Demonstrate proficiency in preparing and maintaining accurate patient records, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to interact professionally with mental health professionals, patients, and family members. Capable of providing compassionate and appropriate care to individuals with mental, emotional, and developmental disabilities.**Responsibilities*** Monitors and documents patients’ physical, physiological, and behavioral status to assess progress toward established treatment goals.* Reports patient observations to supervisors in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.* Provides care that promotes patient safety, comfort, and a supportive environment.* Participates in the development and implementation of treatment plans and programs.* Attends and contributes to group sessions, training activities, and staff meetings.* Engages in ongoing professional development through educational programs, in-service trainings, and workshops.* Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides support during behavioral difficulties or crisis situations.* Serves on at least one hospital or medical center committee, task force, or project team to enhance patient care or workplace operations.* Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service in all interactions.* The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
