The Teacher of Cosmetology assists with implementing the New Jersey Department of Education Core Curriculum Content Standards while providing a well-developed high school level program in Cosmetology/Hairstyling for classified pupils. Incorporates the organization's Mission, Values, and Service Standard Behavior guidelines in the fulfillment of all duties and responsibilities.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
NJDOE Teacher of Production, Personal or Service Occupations: Cosmetologist/Hairstylist & New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling License or NJDOE Teacher of Production, Personal or Service Occupations: Cosmetologist/Hairstylist CE/CEAS and willingness to obtain as appropriate & willingness to obtain New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling License
NJDOE Criminal History Review.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience working as a Teacher.
Licenses and Certifications Required
NJDOE Teacher of Production, Personal of Service Occupations Cosmetologist Hairstylist or Teacher of Prod Personal Serv Occup Cosmetologist Hairstylist Certificate Eligibility.
Willingness to obtain New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling License.
