Telecommunications Estimator . They will be responsible for supporting telecommunication project teams in preparing cost estimates for bids and proposals. This is a direct placement role on-site at
Tysons Corner, Virginia . This is a great opportunity to join rapidly expanding work in the NOVA region.
Responsibilities for the Telecommunications Estimator:
Gathering data and assisting in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, project specifications and project schedule.
Performing take-offs from drawings; pricing change orders and conducting site visits to understand the constructability of projects.
Understanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Required Qualifications for the Telecommunications Estimator:
2-3 years’ experience working in the Communications field with added experience in low voltage systems preferred.
1-3 years’ experience working on estimates and proposal development.
Familiarity with communications and low voltage equipment, materials, and specifications.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required.
Experience with estimating software and performing labor and material takeoffs.
AccuBid experience preferred.
Compensation for the Telecommunications Estimator:
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 *depending on experience*
