Position Description
In this position, you will provide broad creative visions and detailed solutions using knowledge of programming, space planning and construction documentation. You will also develop designs and technical solutions under the direct supervision of an experienced Interior Designer. You will be called upon to work in partnership with talented designers, architects, engineers, and business professionals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a CIDA accredited University
3-5 year’s job‑related experience
Working towards NCIDQ Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of furniture, finishes, and materials, and have the ability to make selections and specifications for a variety of project types
Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft office suite, Outlook, SketchUp or similar rendering software

Position Responsibilities
Collaborate with Interior Design, Architecture, MEP, and other design professionals to create integrated and cohesive design solutions
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates to support project success and demonstrate design intent
Participate in all phases of project delivery, including programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Develop and refine design skills through hands‑on project experience and mentorship
Apply problem‑solving skills to support thoughtful, effective design solutions
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative team environment
Convey design ideas clearly through graphic, visual, and verbal communication methods
Organize and maintain materials library and conduct product research
Conduct materials research and assist with specification preparation and documentation
Assist with cost estimating, including takeoffs and data input
Support construction administration efforts, including submittal review, RFIs, and project correspondence
Assist with or participate in on‑site construction observation for select projects

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job‑related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
