Title: Industrial Mechanical Technician - Mid

Salary: up to $31.00

Location: Dayton, OH

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 – 5:30p

What Will I Be Doing?

Work in a team‑oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power‑driven rotating equipment. Perform in conformance with established standards. Task completion ranges from supervised to unsupervised, depending on experience.

Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures while performing duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.

Use hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, preventive/predictive maintenance.

Perform welding, use cutting torch as required.

Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.

Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., using fall protection equipment.

Work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded.

Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.

Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short‑ and long‑range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.

Maintain personal tools and up‑to‑date documented personal tool list.

Meet physical requirements of the job.

Perform assigned tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.

Maintain positive customer and employee relations.

What Makes Me Qualified?

Experience: 0–5 years mechanical experience and/or 1–2 years education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Physical Demands

The ability to observe details at close range.

Control precision—the ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions.

Manual dexterity—the ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Substantial lifting up to 50 pounds.

Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.

Ability to ascend/descend staircases, ladders, step stools.

Ability to operate applicable hand/power tools and equipment.

Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.

Ability to wear a respirator while performing duties.

Communication/expression—the ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand.

Information ordering—the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise.

Compensation
Salary range: $26.35 – $31.00 per hour.
