Responsibilities
Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit
Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
Administer injections and perform EKGs, venipuncture, and other lab procedures as needed
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly set up
Support quality improvement initiatives, including patient recall, preventive screenings, and care gap closures
Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
Follow infection control and safety procedures
Job Requirements
Must have a CMA or RMA current certification
3 years of experience in primary care
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
Previous EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:15 am-4:00 pm, Friday 7:15 am-2:45 pm (must be flexible) and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am-12pm
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
