This law enforcement position earns a competitive starting wage of $24.00 - $27.14 per hour, depending on experience and certification. We provide excellent benefits, including health insurance, 20-year MPORS retirement, paid holidays, paid vacation, and sick leave. Additionally, we offer our employees and their families free use of our city facilities, including the swimming pool and recreation center.
A Day in the Life of a Patrol Officer
As a Patrol Officer, you patrol assigned areas to maintain order, prevent illegal activity, enforce laws, and protect the community. You also investigate various misdemeanor and felony cases, mediate disputes, and respond to other calls for service. You participate in community policing programs and work closely with local businesses, schools, and charity organizations.
Qualifications
Ability to pass a standard test
Post certification is preferred but not required. For new hires who are not POST certified, the Cut Bank Police Department will pay for all academy costs as well as pay wages while working towards certification.
Work Schedule
Our police department works 4 ten‑hour shifts, giving plenty of time for recreation. Patrol Officers are encouraged to take part in community activities, and this shift schedule allows time for coaching and other volunteer activities.
