Job Description
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The technician will work with a cross‑functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate components and assemble them into advanced solid rocket systems. This entry‑level position involves mixing and processing energetics for casting.
Essential Functions
Full‑scale propellant mixing: Prepare materials, perform mixing for all production programs, confirm acceptable weights, and support new formulations. Requisition and organize materials, clean and maintain mix equipment. Perform duties under engineer and supervisor guidance.
Mathematical calculations: Perform basic arithmetic to create acceptable mixes and use process data to fill manufacturing data sheets.
Grinding: Assemble grinders, grind materials, weigh material bins, disassemble, clean, and reassemble grinding equipment.
Other duties as assigned: AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing, prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, support new production initiatives and schedules.
Willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
Able to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repetitively.
Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate a powered industrial vehicle (and obtain a company‑issued license as appropriate).
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience, or an associate’s degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to follow safety practices.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and others.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
Ability to work with management, supervisor or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
