Position Description
Ryder is hiring an experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician in Fort Worth, Texas — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a technician career you can feel good about.
Hourly Pay: $28.45 per hour. Certification Bonus: $100 per new ASE certification up to $700. Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter. Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off. Hours: Second shift Tuesday–Friday 1:30pm–9:30pm; Saturday 7:00am–3:30pm.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or technical certification; post‑secondary degree or technical certifications preferred
Basic tools, required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must: obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass a Ryder drug test; pass a DOT physical; pass a Ryder road test; pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Perform standard vehicle maintenance
Perform standard component inspections and repairs
Perform preventive maintenance
Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
Replace defective components as instructed
Perform facility maintenance duties
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
Work in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
Perform other support duties as required to support operations, including but not limited to Service Island support
