We are recruiting on behalf of a growing organization seeking an experienced Carpenter to support residential construction, remodeling, and building maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on carpentry skills who takes pride in high‑quality craftsmanship and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
The Carpenter will play a key role in the construction, repair, and general maintenance of residential structures and facilities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities

Install structures and fixtures:

Install and repair windows, frames, flooring, doors, siding, decks, soffit & fascia, trim, and hardware.

Perform carpentry work:

Complete interior and exterior carpentry for construction, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance.

Operate tools:

Safely use and maintain hand tools and power tools associated with the carpentry trade.

Read blueprints and diagrams:

Interpret building specifications, blueprints, and drawings to complete projects accurately.

Manage materials:

Requisition materials from inventory and coordinate supply orders from vendors as needed.

Create sketches:

Develop basic sketches or layouts to support project work.

Build and use scaffolding:

Erect and safely work on scaffolding when required.

Maintain tools and equipment:

Clean, sharpen, and perform preventative maintenance on carpentry tools.

Support project quality and safety:

Ensure work meets quality standards while following safety procedures and best practices.

Supervise helpers:

Assign tasks to laborers or helpers and regularly inspect completed work.

Additional duties:

Perform other carpentry and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of carpentry experience.

Carpentry knowledge:

Strong understanding of carpentry methods, materials, and building maintenance practices.

Tool operation:

Ability to safely operate hand and power tools used in construction and carpentry.

Blueprint reading:

Ability to read and understand building specifications, blueprints, and as‑built drawings.

Safety knowledge:

Understanding of workplace safety practices and proper lifting procedures.

Attention to detail:

Strong craftsmanship with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Communication skills:

Effective verbal communication and strong listening skills.

Time management:

Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet project timelines.

Work ethic:

Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Independent work:

Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.

Customer service:

Professional and courteous when interacting with clients or residents.

Travel & Scheduling Requirements

Transportation:

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.

Scheduling flexibility:

Ability to work any day of the week when needed and maintain a consistent schedule.

Travel requirements:

Willingness to travel locally with occasional limited overnight travel if required.

Physical Requirements

Tool and equipment operation:

Ability to position, detect, and operate construction tools and equipment.

Physical movement:

Frequent balancing, crouching, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and climbing.

Material handling:

Ability to lift, push, pull, or transport materials up to 75 pounds.

Work environment:

Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Travel:

Ability to operate a vehicle and travel independently as needed.
