
Human Resources - Clerical Assistant

The Human Resources Student Worker provides clerical and customer service support to the HR department, with primary responsibility for scanning, digitizing, and filing employee records. This role also assists with front office operations, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and responding to general HR inquiries.
Responsibilities
Scan, digitize, and electronically file employee records in accordance with HR procedures
Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems
Assist with data entry and basic record management tasks
Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
Greet and assist walk-in visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Provide general information and guidance on routine HR questions (referring complex matters to HR staff)
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled student at the university
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar programs
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable and able to work independently
Work Schedule
Up to 25 hours per week while school is in session
International students may work up to 20 hours per week in accordance with visa regulations
Work schedule will be coordinated with class schedule and departmental needs
Work Environment
Office setting within the Human Resources department
Regular interaction with employees, students, and campus visitors
Pay Rate
$16.90 per hour
